End Back & Neck Pain Without Surgery

It's a common issue.  Back and neck pain so debilitating that performing simple daily activities becomes too difficult.   And attempts at relief – from standard chiropractic treatments to physical therapy to epidural injections – just aren't enough to ease the pain. Until now, that is. Intervertebral Differential Dynamics Therapy® (IDD) is changing the world when it comes to the treatment of back and neck pain, and changing the lives of those who receive it.

This latest generation of non-invasive spinal decompression for the treatment of neck and back pain utilizes the revolutionary Accu-SPINA™ system to target specific spinal segments to relieve pressure on damaged discs.  The protocols for IDD Therapy were developed by neurologists, neurosurgeons, orthopedists and chiropractors, ensuring a well-rounded and medically sound approach. If you're in pain, and bed rest, medication and chiropractic adjustments aren't making a difference, it may be time for you to consider the life-changing benefits of IDD.  Here's some information to get your started:

What causes back pain and sciatica?

Discs, which separate the vertebrae and act as shock absorbers, can become damaged due to trauma or the aging process. Each spinal disc is surrounded by highly sensitive nerves, and the inner portion of a disc that has been damaged may leak. This viscous material contains irritating agents, which, when in contact with a nerve, can cause pain that can travel down the length of the nerve. Even a small disc herniation allowing a small amount of the inner disc material to touch the nerve can cause significant pain. Sciatica, or leg pain, is the most common symptom associated with a herniated disc in the lower back. Approximately 90 percent of herniated discs occur there, causing pain that radiates down the sciatic nerve.

Who can benefit from IDD Therapy?

If you have disc problems, such as a herniated or bulging disc, sciatica or chronic back pain, IDD Therapy can provide pain relief when other therapies fail to do so. This treatment also can work to relieve the pain of strains or sprains to the back.

Who should not consider IDD Therapy?

Those with severe arthritis or severe osteoporosis, pregnant women, and post-surgical patients that have had fusions with metal and screws are not advised to undergo IDD.

What sets IDD Therapy apart from treatments that preceded it?

Can Dehydration Cause Migraines?

Migraine headaches could be up there with dental surgery and childbirth as one of life's more painful experiences.  Some would even say they surpass both.  But unlike root canals or labor, the pain of which can be treated with medicine, there's no quick fix for migraine relief and the causes of migraines are even more elusive.

A migraine is more than a headache. The throbbing pain typically occurs on one side of the head and is often accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and severe sensitivity to light and sound. Symptoms can include blurred vision, abnormal sensations of heat or cold, nasal congestion, diarrhea, abdominal cramps, anxiety, depression, irritability and trouble with concentration. But what eludes even the most renowned doctors and researchers is…  What are migraines caused by?

For many migraine sufferers, intense heat and jumps in temperature have been shown to trigger attacks. A study in the journal Neurology revealed that the risk of migraines increases about 8 percent for every nine-degree rise in temperature. But what is it about temperature spikes that poses the risk for the various types of migraines? The difficulty of staying hydrated is likely the culprit. Dehydration has been shown to cause blood volume to drop, resulting in less blood and oxygen flow to the brain and dilated blood vessels. The major cause of dehydration, the loss of electrolytes, compels nerves in the brain to produce pain signals. If you've ever enjoyed a bit too much of your favorite alcoholic beverage and woken up with a dehydration headache, you know the feeling.  But migraine victims tend to be more sensitive to the debilitating effects of dehydration.
