Bladder Infection Home Treatment
A lot of people especially women have been experiencing bladder infection or urinary tract infection at least once each year. Bladder infection is in fact, a very common condition among our society today. Statistics have revealed that there are more than 8 million women seeking treatments for bladder infection from their health care provider every year. Now that's a shocking figure.
Bladder infection is particularly common among women is largely due to the anatomy of a female body. The length of the female urethra in general, spans only a length of one and a half inch. This is merely 20 per cent the length of urethra in male. This also partly explains why bladder infection among male is less common.
Because of the shorter length of the female urethra, bacteria from the outside could enter and reach the bladder rather easily and this is what contributes to higher incidents of infection in women. Not only that, the opening of the urethra in female also lies close to the vaginal as well as the rectum where bacteria flourish. Therefore, there is no doubt that bladder infection is particularly common among women.
