Your Body PH Levels Are Important - If You Want to Stay Healthy and Minimise Disease

The term pH simply means potential for hydrogen in your body systems.

The pH scale goes from 0 to 14 and 7 is considered neutral. The scale is logarithmic, meaning that the values separating each unit increase in proportion to their distance from the neutral point of 7.
For example; a pH of 6 is ten times more acidic than 7 and a pH of 5 is one hundred times more acidic than 7; conversely on the alkaline side where a pH of 8 is ten times more alkaline than 7 and 9 is one hundred times more alkaline than 7 and so on.

HARMFUL EFFECTS OF ACIDITY
The body will always strive to keep your organs, blood, fluids and tissues operating properly. But in order to do that effectively each part must operate in its optimal pH range. When your body is overly burdened with body toxins and trying to compensate for pH imbalances it suffers immensely This excess stress eventually leads to toxicity, illness and disease.

Left unchecked acidification may contribute or directly lead to arthritis, blood pressure abnormalities, blood sugar challenges, digestive problems, fungal problems (Candida and Yeast), headaches, heartburn and acid reflux, hot flushes, inflammation of joints, insomnia, lack of energy, premature aging, skin problems, stiffness, stress and tension weight issues and other disorders.

Acidity leads to toxicity, which leads to microform overgrowth, which can eventually lead to illness and disease. Your body cannot detoxify properly when it becomes overly acidic and as a result of this toxins build up causing stress as well as the activation of body emergency mechanisms that compensate for the toxicity.

A good example of this is weight gain and because fat is an excellent binding agent your body will use fat when necessary to bind and store toxins in your body. Your weight problem is far more complex than simply a metabolic problem it's really an acidic problem.

NO DOUBT YOU'VE HEARD OF BATTERY ACID
And you've been told that you must wear protective clothing when you're handling battery acid so it won't burn your body. When you have high acidity levels it's the same as having that hydrochloric battery acid in your body and it will burn your body.

Balanced body pH is really important and should not be overlooked.

SUMMARY
• Consider it a warning if you discover that you have high acidic levels (Low pH) in your body before you're struck down with illness or disease.
• Consider yourself lucky because you've just received an early warning of future illness or disease.
• Do something quickly and get your body back in balance if you want to enjoy a healthy life.

The Isagenix program we use reduces acidity and balances the body. We certainly recommend it.

Living Lightly: Doses that Help Manage and Reduce Stress

"Stress" has become a word so common in everyday life, particularly among working adults in San Jose, California. Each day, schedules are jam-packed with activities, endless phone calls are made, sleep is neglected, and coffee mugs are filled to the brim to keep one awake. Stress itself is not negative; it just needs to be effectively managed. Listed below are few doses of things that can help you maintain balance in your daily life.

Doses of Inspiration

A daily dose of inspiration is what each person needs, and this varies according to your preferences and interests. For instance, if you are a lover of music, pump up the volume in your portable music player and listen to songs that will no doubt inspire you. If you love the visual arts, why not keep a handy sketchpad in your bag, which you can doodle on during break times at work? Getting a daily dose of inspiration is simple yet very effective way to help you get by the day.

Doses of Wisdom

Stress, or most of it, is all in the mind. There is physical stress, as well as emotional or psychological stress. If you are experiencing the latter, one way to gradually reduce it, or at least keep yourself from wallowing in distress, is to fill yourself with doses of wisdom, whether it be getting advice from your well-meaning parents, a boost from friends, or reading a self-help book. Wisdom is something attained through experience, and your stressful life can help you become a wiser person each day.

Influenza Season Well Under Way

With the 2011-2012 flu season well under way, physicians agree that the flu virus is nothing to sneeze at. Getting a flu vaccine is the number one way to stop the spread of the flu. For FFF Enterprises, the nation's largest and most trusted distributor of flu vaccine, spreading the message about the safety and effectiveness of flu vaccine is a chief concern. FFF has made a mission out of "helping healthcare care," which includes protecting people from the fatal complications associated with the flu virus.

FFF Enterprises has made it their aim to transform the way people think about the flu and flu vaccine. For example, some believe that if they are not an infant or elderly, they don't need a flu vaccine. According to the CDC, this isn't true since "everyone 6 months and older should get a flu vaccine each year." This has been the recommendation since February 2010, when the CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) "voted for the universal flu vaccination in the U.S. to expand protection against the flu to more people." Others are under the misconception that their flu vaccine will give them the flu. The CDC comments that "no, a flu shot cannot cause flu illness. The influenza viruses contained in a flu shot are inactivated (killed), which means they cannot cause infection."

Signs and symptoms of the flu can range anywhere from a cough and runny nose to a high fever and fatigue. Some people may experience diarrhea and vomiting. Those who are at high risk for developing flu-related complications, such as children, adults 65 years of age and older and pregnant women are strongly encouraged to schedule their flu vaccine. A new high-dose flu vaccine formulated for those aged 65 and older is also available for the current flu season. Individuals who suffer from serious medical conditions such as diabetes, asthma, heart disease, neurological problems, chronic lung disease, and compromised immune systems are also advised to get their annual flu vaccine as soon as possible.

Influenza is a deadly virus that kills more people each year than all vaccine-preventable diseases combined. According to the CDC, "most healthy adults may be able to infect others beginning one day before symptoms develop and up to five to seven days after becoming sick." This means that "you may be able to pass on the flu to someone else before you know you are sick, as well as while you are sick." Therefore, getting your annual flu vaccine will protect you, your loved ones and your work mates. For more information on seasonal flu and flu vaccine contact your healthcare provider today.
